Encounter Festival 2023
Encounter Festival is back!
Over the weekend of 15 - 17 September, Preston's event spaces will come alive with art, music, dance, workshops, and much more.
This year the torchlight parade will be back, lighting up the night streets of Preston with installations and community spirit. You are invited to be part of it! This is a Community Participation call out to be part of the Torchlight Procession and the Programme. Find out more at Encounter Festival - Community Participation.
Established in 2015 as a legacy of the famous Preston Guild celebrations, the Encounter Festival has succeeded in delivering a plethora of fascinating, profound, and exciting performances - along with cultural experiences - to Preston city centre. This year's festival is set to be just as extraordinary.
The festival will take part around various locations in Preston city centre including the Flag Market, Winckley Square Gardens, and The MET. Many events are free to attend and do not need booking. Make sure to check the event's details before attending.
