Aimee Williamson: Ballad of the Selkie
An interesting folklore dance performance
- Aimee Williamson: Ballad of the Selkie
- 20 minute run time
- Age guidance: All ages
Enter into the watery world of the Selkie, who finds herself with the audience on land, an environment not made for her. She will build connections, explore, play and make a home here, all before the call of the sea takes her back, like the ebb and flow of the tide.
Aimee Williamson is a performer, dance artist and theatre maker based in Lancashire. Her work spans across ballet, contemporary, physical theatre and puppetry. She creates work using inspiration from folklore, nature and local heritage.
Ballad of the Selkie has been performed at This Here Festival in Rawtenstall, Little HOME in Manchester, Stalybridge Street Fest, Fleetwood Moves Morecambe's That Spring Thing and Clitheroe Contemporary Arts Festival.
This performance is part of dance double bill. It is possible that the two performances will be switched - we recommend coming at 7:30pm for both shows.
