Age Policy for UCLan events

Attendees Aged 16 and Above:

UCLan are pleased to welcome individuals who are 16 years of age or older to attend the events independently. This change in their policy reflects their commitment to making the events accessible to a wider audience, including young adults and students.

For Attendees Under 16 Years:

All attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. It's important that each child under 16 is with someone over 18 for the whole event. This ensures their safety and compliance with the event guidelines.

Content Warning:

Please be aware that the content of the events may not always be suitable for children. While UCLan strive to present engaging and informative material, they cannot guarantee that all content will be appropriate for those under the age of 16. UCLan encourage parents and guardians to consider this when deciding whether to bring children to the event.

By attending the events, all participants agree to adhere to these guidelines, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience for everyone.

For further information you can check the safeguarding page: Safeguarding UCLan, or contact EngageUCLan@uclan.ac.uk.
