After much anticipation, the new-look, Friargate high street is now open. The revamped, pedestrian friendly design breathes new life into this popular shopping destination and showcases the fantastic array of local, independent businesses.

Beginning at UCLan's striking University Square, Friargate leads you all the way to Preston's famous Flag Market and the Harris Museum and Art Gallery. From quaint cafés to lively entertainment venues. From fine dining to craft beers, live music and freshly made pizza - come along and see what's on offer.

Visit the monthly Makers Market
