Remembrance Sunday 2024
Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
Please join the Right Worshipful Mayor of Preston, veterans, Armed Forces and others, in gathering around the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.
The parade will start at the Bus Station and move along Tithebarn Street, turning onto Lord Street, moving down Lancaster Road and onto Church Street, then turning into Cheapside and then onto the Flag Market for the service.
The parade will return via the front of The Harris and onto Birley Street next to Miller Arcade, turning onto Church Street and coming around onto Cheapside, then moving past the cenotaph to turn down Birley Street towards Earl Street and past the Markets, moving onto Lancaster Road, back up Lord Street to finish at the Bus Station.
At the end of Sunday's service, there will be an opportunity for the public to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph.
More details are yet to be confirmed, so keep an eye on this page.
