Birds, Beasts and Bugs of the Bog
An interesting talk with Preston Society of Birdwatching and Natural History
The Preston Society of Birdwatching and Natural History bring you their latest talk about the "Birds, Beasts and Bugs of the Bog" by Alasdair Mckee.
Alasdair will talk about the birds, beasts and bugs of Foulshaw Moss nature reserve in Cumbria. The peat bog there has been restored from commercial forestry over the last 20 years and is now home to an amazing array of wildlife from rare crickets and dragonflies, through various reptiles and amphibians, to a remarkable range of birds.
This lively and entertaining talk will introduce you to all of these and explain why peat bogs are so vital for wildlife - and for us.
