Join Lancashire Archives for a free fun-filled day of activities
Join us at Lancashire Archives and Local History for the second Fun Palaces event with the added bonus of a National Football Museum festival of football. There will be lots of fun activities for all the family
- All day: Carnival headpiece and mask making - The Archives team
- All day: Delve into dialect - Pam Forster
- All day (tbc): Festival of Lancashire Tradition - The Lancashire Society
- 11am to 12 noon: Samba Drumming workshop - Worldwise Samba Drummers
- All day (tbc): Historic swords and sword fighting - Mark Hillyard et al
- All day: Local History - The Archives team
- All day: Art, Maths and Science crafts - Lancashire Adult Learning
- All day: Ukulele workshops - Lancashire Music Service
- All day: Outdoor activities - Lancashire Outdoor Education
- All day: Festival of Football - National Football Museum Engagement Team
- 11am to 12 noon: Samba Drumming workshop - Worldwise Samba Drummers
- 2:45pm - 3pm: Mini Carnival Procession - Everyone

Times and activities may be subject to change on the day. Some activities have limited places and will be allocated on a 'first come first served' basis. Some waiting time may be involved.
Fun Palaces is an annual weekend of free events where arts, crafts, science, tech and digital are a catalyst for community engagement and full participation for everyone, from the grassroots up, to learn something new and have fun doing it.
This year Lancashire Libraries, Museums and Archives will be holding nineteen Fun Palaces.
