Researching local black history workshop
Part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Preston Caribbean Carnival
Join historian, Stephen Poleon to look at local resources for researching British Caribbean histories at Lancashire Archives and Local History.
Whether you are interested in community or local history, or tracing your own family's history, this course of workshops will give you an introduction to the resources available.
No research experience necessary, just a desire to know more. An outcome of your research can be a short article in the Archives local history magazine, or you might want to delve more into your family history.
There will be three workshops, each looking at different themes and research areas.. The workshops are sponsored by the Preston Caribbean Carnival.
