The Ferryman by Jez Butterworth

Directed by Terence Mann

1981, Northern Ireland, County Armagh.

In a country farmhouse the Carney family are preparing for the annual harvest. A day of hard work on the land and a traditional night of feasting and celebrations lie ahead. But this year, the usual harvest celebrations are interrupted by an unexpected visitor.

Twenty-one vivid characters play out this intricate and epic story, full of humour and menace, mystery, secrets, confessions and betrayal.

"Absorbing, soulful and ultimately shattering." - Evening Standard

"A play that's formally conventional but has an ambition that's out of this world" - Time Out

"Staggeringly multi-layered, dangerously fast-paced and rich in characterizations, dialogue and context" - Pop Matters

Warning: This play contains strong language and some scenes of violence. Age restriction 15+
